Montreal, Canada ( getonlinepr) May 5, 2022 – Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of the opening of the company’s office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The company was founded in Montreal in 1968 by President Robert Miller. It expanded into the United States in 1972, opening its first American office in Boston.
Future Electronics’ Pittsburgh branch has occupied various locations just north of the city limits over the last 25 years. The city was once the world leader in steel manufacturing, earning it the nickname ‘The Smoky City.’ Pittsburgh is also the birthplace of Heinz Ketchup, home to the world’s first radio station, and site of the creation of the Polio vaccine by Dr. Jonas Salk at the University of Pittsburgh.
Present-day Pittsburgh has re-invented itself as a hub for world class education, healthcare and technology research facilities. “We are home to the epicenter of Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics research, which will help fuel growth of new customers for the branch for decades to come,” said General Manager David Kraus.
The branch has multiple staff members in key positions who’ve been there for over 20 years. “Our combined experience in the marketplace, along with our young and extremely strong Sales and Engineering teams, will carry the torch for Future into the next 25 years,” Kraus said.
Robert Miller, President of Future Electronics, congratulated the Pittsburgh team on their 25-year milestone, and thanked everyone for their contributions to the success of the branch.
